Many Christians never learn the importance of a close intimacy with the Holy Spirit. In these last days of apostasy in the Church, many attend Sunday morning service as if it is an item on their weekly shopping list.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However if you want to see a manifestation of God through his Holy Spirit, it can be achieved today. Miracles and communication with God can happen every day if your walk with the Lord is on an intimate level.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Soaking and Meditation<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Direct interaction with God through his Holy Spirit is only practiced today by a small groups of Christians who still understand the concept of receiving the Holy Spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you were to go back in time 70 years, you would find that people tarried, waiting to be filled with the Holy Spirit. This meditation on the Lord is called soaking today. We know from scripture that the manifestation of the power of God can be brought about through meditation and prayer. We see in scripture the message of waiting on the Lord and how you can be blessed by him:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Psalm 37:<\/strong>7<\/strong><\/a><\/em> Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: <\/em><\/p>\n

Isaiah 4<\/strong><\/em>0:<\/strong><\/em>31<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew <\/em>their<\/em><\/em> strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; <\/em>and<\/em><\/em> they shall walk, and not faint. <\/em><\/p>\n

Psalm<\/strong><\/em> 46:<\/strong><\/em>10<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>Be still, and know that I <\/em>am<\/em><\/em> God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. <\/em><\/p>\n

Psalm <\/strong><\/em>27:<\/strong><\/em>14<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. <\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When we soak in God\u2019s presence, we are in a place of rest where we wait on Him. The scripture tells us that when we are still, and meditate in God\u2019s presence, there will come a knowing or experiencing of God.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Do not confuse this waiting to be filled with the Holy Spirit with any New Age Middle Eastern Meditation. New Age Kundalini Yoga followers believe there is a coiled snake in their lower chakra. The snake can be stimulated to strike their third eye chakra, which allows them to experience some supernatural visions. Being filled with the Holy Spirit is not the same as being filled with a snake spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Most people who practice soaking or waiting on the Holy Spirit create an environment that blocks out the outside world. A quiet room or even a garden tub in the bath. <\/span><\/p>\n

Repent of any sin in your life, and receive God’s forgiveness. Remind God of his promises:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

NIV Psalm 119:148<\/a><\/strong><\/em> My eyes stay open through the watches of the night,<\/em><\/p>\n

that I may meditate on your promises. <\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you wish to receive the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, keep those gifts in your thoughts while you meditate or soak:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1<\/strong><\/em>st<\/strong><\/em><\/sup> Corinthians12:<\/strong><\/em>7<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. <\/em>8<\/strong><\/em><\/a>For to one is given by the Spirit the word of <\/em>wisdom<\/strong><\/em>; to another the word of <\/em>knowledge<\/strong><\/em> by the same Spirit; <\/em>9<\/strong><\/em><\/a>To another <\/em>faith<\/strong><\/em> by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of <\/em>healing<\/strong><\/em> by the same Spirit; <\/em>10<\/strong><\/em><\/a>To another the working of <\/em>miracles<\/strong><\/em>; to another <\/em>prophecy<\/strong><\/em>; to another <\/em>discerning of spirits<\/strong><\/em>; to another divers kinds of <\/em>tongues<\/strong><\/em>; to another the <\/em>interpretation of tongues<\/strong><\/em>: <\/em>11<\/strong><\/em><\/a>But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. <\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you worship with a group or church that does not believe in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, you will not see a manifestation of them.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Be quiet and still and you will begin to hear His voice as thoughts in your head. Many times, you may have visions and supernatural experiences. The key is learning to wait in solitude. <\/span><\/p>\n

It helps some to introduce instrumental music such as harps or stringed instruments. However the music must not distract your thoughts from receiving the Holy Spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When you are in the spirit, petition God in the name of his Son Jesus, Yeshua the Lamb:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1<\/strong><\/em>st<\/strong><\/em><\/sup> John 5:<\/strong><\/em>14<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: <\/em>15<\/strong><\/em><\/a>And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. <\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Do not chant in repetition:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Matthew 6:7 <\/strong><\/em><\/a>But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. <\/em>8<\/strong><\/em><\/a>Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. <\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Direct contact with the Holy Spirit will change you and your perception of your Church and the people around you. This new found intimacy is personal and between you and God. Do not be alarmed when God manifests himself. It was foretold that in the last days, the power of the Holy Spirit would be present and poured out:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1<\/strong><\/em>st<\/strong><\/em><\/sup> Thessalonians 5:16<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>Rejoice evermore. <\/em>17<\/strong><\/em><\/a>Pray without ceasing. <\/em>18<\/strong><\/em><\/a>In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. <\/em>19<\/strong><\/em><\/a>Quench not the Spirit. <\/em>20<\/strong><\/em><\/a>Despise not prophesyings.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Joel 2:28<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: <\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Acts 2:<\/strong><\/em>17<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: <\/em>18<\/strong><\/em><\/a>And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: <\/em>19<\/strong><\/em><\/a>And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: <\/em>20<\/strong><\/em><\/a>The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: <\/em>21<\/strong><\/em><\/a>And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. <\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Fasting<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The purpose of fasting is to take our eyes off the things of this world and instead focus on God. Fasting is a way to demonstrate to God and to ourselves that we are serious about our relationship with Him. Specifically, we humbly deny something of the flesh to glorify God.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Jesus told his disciples of the power of fasting. Fasting is a sacrifice you make to humble yourself before the Lord. Again as in meditation, it is private between you and God:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Matthew 6:<\/strong><\/em>16<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. <\/em>17<\/strong><\/em><\/a>But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; <\/em>18<\/strong><\/em><\/a>That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. <\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Fasting and Prayer can break the bonds of Demons:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mark 9:<\/strong><\/em>28<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? <\/em>29<\/strong><\/em><\/a>And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. <\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We also find in the book of Isaiah the words of Jesus are confirmed:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Isaiah 58:6<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? <\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Set a time for fasting. You cannot live without water long. The purpose of the fasting is not to damage your body and see God face to face. Many people are amazed at the Fast which Daniel did to receive an answer from God:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Daniel 10:<\/strong><\/em>2<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. <\/em>3<\/strong><\/em><\/a>I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Daniel was not going completely without food and water, but denying himself bread, meat and wine.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Many people long to experience the supernatural. An intimate relationship with God and the receiving of the Holy Spirit will open your eyes to miracles and understanding of prophecy. You may receive the gift of healing. When you read the scriptures, people of other languages may be able to hear you in their native tongue. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In this season of the End Times, understanding prophecy will allow you to warn the people and show them the events that are soon to come.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
