Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/bible.cc\/isaiah\/17-2.htm\"><em><strong>2<\/strong><\/em><\/a><em>The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/bible.cc\/isaiah\/17-3.htm\"><em><strong>3<\/strong><\/em><\/a><em>The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Is a destroyed Syria the beginning of what may turn out to be the fulfillment of this prophecy?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">If Bashar al-Assad makes a wrong move he could bring fire down on Damascus from Israel as the prophecy foretells.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Middle East unrest is part of the fulfillment of End Time prophecy.
