Turkey – Last Piece of the Puzzle

According to prophecy in Ezekiel 38 Turkey will join Russia and Iran and many other Muslim nations and try to destroy Israel.

Some find it hard to believe that Turkey was an allie with Israel just a little over a year ago. Turkey is no longer an allie with Israel since recent leadership changes and the flotilla incident. A coalition has formed between Turkey, Syria and Iran aided by Russia and China in the past months.

Is the Goal of the coalition to “Wipe Israel off the Map”?
“They have said, ‘Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more’” (Psalm 83:4)

The Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, said that Israel must be “wiped off the map”.

Turkey joining the other members of the coalition is the last piece of the prophecy puzzle to fall into place.

WikiLeaks

American diplomats fear that Turkey may have been irretrievably alienated from the West, by the release from WikiLeaks of secret embassy cables.

The 8,000 documents from Turkey cover sensitive domestic developments as well as diplomacy with Iran, Iraq and Israel.

The leaked documents reveal that the country is becoming more focused on the Islamic coalition with Iran and Syria. American diplomats describe Turkish Prime Minister Teyyip Erdogan as an outspoken Islamist who is seeking the creation of a reborn Islamic state.

Israel’s ambassador to Turkey, Gabby Levy, blames the decline in Turkey-Israeli relations exclusively on Erdogan and states that Erdogan is “a fundamentalist, he hates us religiously”.

Russia Regains Mideast Influence through Turkey

Syria, Iran, and Turkey openly defy Obama, as Russia regains Mideast influence. Russian President Dimitry Medvedev is working with Turkey, Syria and Iran in the creation of an anti-American alliance in the region. Russia is joining the Islamist circle with arms and nuclear deals in the wings. Medvedev signed deals allowing Russia to help Turkey and Syria build nuclear reactors. Why is Russia doing this? Clearly, there are commercial considerations involved. Russia is desperate for money and export markets, including the ability to sell its weapons, however there is a genuine ambition to rebuild the old Russian/Soviet empire. President Reagan bankrupted the Soviet Union in an arms race basically leaving the Soviet Empire powerless. Today President Obama is doing the opposite of Reagan. The Start Treaty was ratified by the Senate on Dec 22nd, 2010 that reins in the nuclear weapons in an arms control deal, limiting the weapons the United States can have on hand. The longer the US is bogged down in Iraq and Afghanistan, bleeding troops and treasure and the US economy is being destroyed, Russia and China are stepping into the vacuum building alliances and exploiting economic opportunities.

China

“Chinese warplanes make Mid East debut in Turkey and Iran”

Sept. 20 to Oct. 6, the Turkish Air Force conducted its regular annual Anatolian Eagle exercise, this time without US and Israeli participation. Israel was not invited and America opted out. However, their place was taken by Chinese Sukhoi Su-27 and Mig-29 warplanes making their first appearance in Turkish skies. Erdogan took the credit for China’s unfolding involvement in the alliance. The Chinese planes refueled only once on their journey to Turkey at a base in Iran. When they touched down at the Gayem al-Mohammad air base in central Iran, it was the first time Chinese fighter-bombers are known to have visited the Islamic Republic.

Muslim Coalition against Israel

Turkey’s Prime Minister, Erdogan, hosted a Eurasian summit in Istanbul at which many of the region’s most dangerous conflicts were aired – Gaza, of course, where the main target was Israel and its aggressive behavior towards the aid flotilla, but also Afghanistan.

The Summit was attended by Iran’s President Ahmadinejad, Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai, and senior representatives from China, India and Pakistan, among other regional leaders. Syria’s President Bashar Al-Assad, and Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian Authority, were invited guests.

Ahmadinejad spoke of major change awaiting the world starting from “our region” and explained: “A resistance front has been formed by the peoples of Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Iraq and all the region.”

The Psalm 83 in Prophecy

Psalm 83 is thought to have been written some time after the end of King Solomon’s reign (about 900 BC). The Author of Psalms 83, Asaph was King David’s music director. In the Psalm the same nations currently are aligning themselves in a Muslim coalition. Bible scholars in the last year have noticed the relationship with current events and Psalms 83:

Psalms 83:5~8 KJV

5For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

6The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

7Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

8Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

The Psalm 83 confederates:

  1. Tents of Edom (Palestinians and S. Jordanians)
  2. Ishmaelites (Saudis – Ishmael father of the Arabs)
  3. Moab (Palestinians and Central Jordanians)
  4. Hagrites (Hagarenes – Egyptians)
  5. Gebal (Hezbollah & N. Lebanese)
  6. Ammon (Palestinians and N. Jordanians)
  7. Amalek (Arabs of the Sinai area)
  8. Philistia (Hamas of the Gaza Strip)
  9. Tyre (Hezbollah and S. Lebanese)
  10. Assyria (Syria and N. Iraqis)

Conclusion

Future relations between Israel and Turkey will be a key indicator. The full inclusion of Turkey in the European Union will be the next event to watch. The European Union fits the picture of the revived Roman Empire and has exhibited every detail of fulfilling it’s role in the end.
